Refund & Withdrawal Policy

Last updated: 22 June 2026

This Policy explains your right to cancel and get a refund, how refunds are paid, and our voluntary Pass Guarantee. It forms part of our Terms & Conditions. “We”/“us” means RY Studies (a trade name of Iana Golovanova; KvK 42080594). Contact: info@rystudies.com.

1. Your 14-day right of withdrawal (EU/EEA consumers)

If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA, you have the right to withdraw from a purchase within 14 days of buying it, without giving a reason.

Because our Service is digital content and digital services supplied online, the following applies:

  • If you ask for immediate access, you can start using the Service straight away. To do so, at checkout you give your express consent to immediate access and acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once we begin providing the Service (for digital content) / that you will be charged for what you have used if you withdraw before full performance (for digital services). The exact wording you confirm at checkout is in §6 below.
  • If you do not start using the Service and you withdraw within 14 days, you receive a full refund.
  • If you withdraw before using the Service but we have not yet begun providing it, you receive a full refund.

If we did not give you the required withdrawal information, the withdrawal period is extended as required by law.

How to withdraw. Tell us clearly within 14 days — by email to info@rystudies.com, or using the “Cancel my contract” function in your account, or using the model form in §7. We will send you confirmation. We will refund you using the same payment method you used, within 14 days of being informed, at no cost to you.

This statutory right applies to consumers. It does not apply to business customers who purchase using a valid VAT number (see Terms, clause 3.6).

2. The free plan

The Free plan requires no payment and no card, so there is nothing to refund. You can stop using it at any time, and you can ask us to delete your account and data (see the Privacy Policy).

3. Subscriptions

3.1 You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account. Cancellation stops the next renewal; your access continues until the end of the current paid period, after which it ends.

3.2 Beyond the 14-day withdrawal right in §1, we do not refund the unused part of a billing period, except where the law requires it.

3.3 If we increase the subscription price, we will notify you in advance and you may cancel before the increase applies (see Terms, clause 3.2).

4. One-time purchases (single paper – Lite or Full)

One-time purchases give access for the period stated at checkout. After the 14-day withdrawal right in §1 (and subject to the waiver in §6), one-time purchases are non-refundable, except where the law requires otherwise or where we discontinue the product (see Terms, clause 7.1). The voluntary Pass Guarantee in §5 may apply.

5. The Pass Guarantee (voluntary — extra protection, beyond your legal rights)

This is a goodwill guarantee we offer in addition to your statutory rights. It does not replace the 14-day right in §1.

What it is: if you genuinely prepared with us and still did not pass, we give you more time, free of charge — not a cash refund.

You qualify if all of the following are true:

  1. You purchased a paid single-paper product (Lite or Full) for the paper in question (the Pass Guarantee does not apply to the Free plan).
  2. You completed a full mock exam for that paper on our platform and scored at least 50 marks.
  3. You sat the real ACCA examination for that paper during the access period and did not pass.
  4. You send us proof of your ACCA result (a screenshot or the official result; or, if you have given consent, we may verify it via the ACCA result service).

What you get: we extend your access to that paper by a further 12 months, free of charge, so you can prepare for the next sitting.

Limits: one extension per purchase; the extension covers the same paper only; it is non-transferable and has no cash value. We may decline claims where the conditions are not met or where we reasonably believe the guarantee is being abused.

How to claim: email info@rystudies.com with your account email and proof of result, within 60 days of receiving your ACCA result.

6. The wording you confirm at checkout (digital-content waiver)

To enable immediate access while complying with EU law, your checkout must require the buyer to tick a box with wording equivalent to this:

☐ I want immediate access to RY Studies and I agree that the Service will begin straight away. I understand that, by starting to use the Service during the 14-day withdrawal period, I lose my right of withdrawal for digital content once delivery begins, and that for digital services I may be charged for the portion I have used if I withdraw before full performance. I have read the Refund & Withdrawal Policy.

Keep a record (timestamp) of this confirmation for each purchase. Without it, you cannot rely on the waiver and a buyer may be entitled to a full refund even after using the Service.

7. Model withdrawal form

You may use this form to withdraw within 14 days (you are not obliged to):

To RY Studies, info@rystudies.com — I hereby give notice that I withdraw from my contract for the following service: __________ Ordered on / received on: __________ Name: __________ Email used for the account: __________ Date: __________

8. How refunds are paid

Approved refunds are made through Stripe to your original payment method, normally within 14 days. The time for the funds to appear depends on your bank or card provider. We refund the full amount due to you; any payment-processing fees are borne by us, not deducted from your refund.

9. Consumers outside the EU/EEA

The statutory 14-day right in §1 is an EU/EEA right. As a goodwill matter, we offer customers outside the EU/EEA the same 14-day window on the same terms (including the immediate-access waiver in §6), and the Pass Guarantee in §5 is available worldwide.
